Kirsty founded Atlantic Scuba Adventures in 2022 for 3 reasons,
- To create a fun, welcoming environment where people from all walks of life could gather to explore the ocean’s wonders.
- To educate, inspire, and empower others to enjoy and protect our oceans.
- To highlight the beauty of Irish diving on the international stage
Benjamin
Open Water Instructor
First Dive: Seven-Mile Beach, Grand Cayman
Favourite Fish: Basking Shark – Peace-loving and can be found in Irish Waters
Bucket List Dive: Socorro Islands, Mexico. Great foods, cervecas and huge pelagics.
Ben is a new member of the team for the 2025 season, but has immediately been the Atlantic Scuba Adventures vibe with his big personality and love for the Sea. Ben is one half of our powerhouse pair of instructors this season and can be found teaching, guiding, mapping sites, underwater videography, and so much more.
Jessica
Open Water Instructor – Dive
First Dive: Seven-Mile Beach, Grand Cayman
Favourite Fish: Tricky.. I like them all, maybe an eagle ray or a seal or a cuttlefish
Bucket List Dive: No one place in particular. Just ready to be surprised by dives wherever I go.
Jessica is also new to the Atlantic Scuba Adventures team, but has been an absolute treasure to welcome. The better half of our powerhouse pair (sorry Ben) brings so much passion and care to everything she does here, whether she is teaching, guiding, mapping sites, or mentoring visitors from start to finish of their journey, she makes everyone feel at home in our little patch of paradise.
Meadhbh
Divemaster & Gaeltacht Student Coordinator
First Dive: Trá an Dóilín (She’s the real OG)
Favourite Fish: Dogfish
Bucket List Dive: Underwater Military Museum in Aqaba, Jordan (SNAP)
Meadhbh has been with Atlantic Scuba Adventures since 2023. We have watched her grow from a snorkel assistant to a snorkel instructor to a divemaster! Meadhbh is a local to An Cheathrú Rua (Carraroe) so as one of our resident Gaeilgeoirí who better to manage our partnership as a service provider for Coláiste Chiaran (link) whom we provide their residential students with the opportunity to go snorkeling at Trá an Dóilín (Coral Beach).
Cathal
Snorkel Instructor & Snorkel Club Coordinator (+ Divemaster in Training)
First Dive: Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Favourite Fish: Minke Whale
Bucket List Dive: Blue Corner, Palau, Micronesia
Cathal has also been with Atlantic Scuba Adventures since 2023. Cathal has been a fantastic addition to the Atlantic Scuba Adventures team particularly with his background in water safety. As our second resident Gaeilgeoir, he also runs sessions for our Colaiste Chiaran students plus public tours through both English & Gaeilge. Cathal is the coordinator for our new snorkel club, which is a club that offers weekly snorkel sessions, free equipment rental, and monthly social events to its members during the season.
